TAPE Inc. Faces Complaints Over Unpaid Talent Fees
TAPE INC. – The Television and Production Exponents, Inc. is being called out for allegedly failing to pay the talent fees of several hosts of the former noontime show Tahanang Pinakamasaya, nearly two years after the program ended on March 2, 2024.
The show was launched on January 6, 2024, as TAPE Inc.’s replacement for Eat Bulaga! after a court ruling in December 2023 confirmed that the original hosts had the legal right to use the Eat Bulaga! name. Among those who worked on Tahanang Pinakamasaya were Chariz Solomon, Buboy Villar, Dasuri Choi, Paolo Contis, Isko Moreno, and siblings Mavy and Cassy Legaspi.
According to discussions in a January 10, 2026 episode of an online podcast hosted by Chariz and Buboy, the talent fees remain unpaid up to now, despite repeated follow-ups over the past two years. During the conversation, the hosts shared their frustration about waiting for payment for work that had long been completed, saying that polite requests and reminders have not led to any clear action. They explained that the issue is serious because many of them rely on these earnings to support their families and cover daily expenses.

Reports about the unpaid fees had already appeared as early as May 2025, but no public update or confirmed response from the company’s management has been made since then. Despite growing disappointment, the affected hosts said they still hope the matter will be resolved, especially because they remember having good and respectful working relationships with the producers while the show was still airing.

They expressed a desire to move past conversations about delayed payments and return to normal, positive interactions as colleagues. Although the long delay has lowered their expectations, they continue to hope that 2026 will finally bring a fair solution.
