Randy Lawyer Responds to Wife’s Abuse Claims
RANDY LAWYER — The estranged husband of Melanie Marquez has strongly denied the abuse allegations made against him by his wife, the former beauty queen and actress.
In a recent interview on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda on January 5, 2026, Melanie claimed that she had suffered both physical and emotional abuse at the hands of her American husband. She also stated that she had been placed in mental health and rehabilitation facilities without her consent.
The following day, January 6, host Boy Abunda shared Randy Lawyer’s response to these accusations. The denial came via an email sent by Randy’s legal counsel from PECABAR Law Office. According to Randy’s camp, Melanie’s claims are entirely fabricated and have no factual basis. They emphasized that Melanie has a history of making false or exaggerated claims of abuse against her husband, all of which were previously investigated and dismissed as baseless by the proper authorities.
Randy’s lawyers also pointed out that Melanie’s previous complaint against him did not even reach court because it was dismissed by the Office of the City Prosecutor in Makati City. They called the recent claims harmful and said they were meant to hurt Randy’s reputation, cause emotional stress, and affect his career. Randy himself plans to respond to the accusations officially before the Bureau of Immigration, which is looking into Melanie’s request to have him blacklisted and prevented from returning to the Philippines.
In short, Randy’s team says the abuse claims are false, and that he has never hurt Melanie physically or emotionally. They said her public statements are a deliberate attempt to create controversy and damage his reputation and career. They also emphasized that authorities have repeatedly found no proof in her previous complaints and that these new claims follow a pattern of false accusations.
As of now, the matter is set to be formally addressed before the Bureau of Immigration, where Randy Lawyer intends to present evidence and clarify the circumstances surrounding Melanie Marquez’s allegations.
