Amid the PH Issues, Harry Roque Extends New Year Greetings to Everyone
HARRY ROQUE – Duterte’s former Spokesman took to social media his New Year greetings to everyone amid the issues in the Philippines.
Following the arrest and the transfer of custody of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to the International Criminal Court, Roque appeared in public after several months of hiding. He is being investigated over his alleged ties with the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming operators in the country.

Roque previously claimed that the alleged pressure on him was allegedly because of his ties with the Duterte family. Amid the rift between Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, Duterte’s former Spokesman claimed that he will only return to the Philippines after the term of Marcos Jr. ends.

Amid the issues against the Duterte family, Harry Roque declared that his loyalty to former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte will be ‘until death’. He vowed to stand by the former President even if charges against him will pile up. He also previously offered to be part of the ICC legal team who will defend the former President.

However, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that they want the lawyers of the former President to be able to focus in the ICC case of his father. According to her, Harry Roque should focus in his bid for asylum in The Netherlands.
Roque applied for asylum in The Netherlands. He previously stressed that he cannot be deported while the application process is ongoing. According to him, the process may take around up to a year and a half.

Recently, as the world welcome a new year, Harry Roque extended his New Year greetings to everyone. Through a post on social media, Duterte’s former Spokesman expressed his wish that “our Calvary” will soon end. In his post, he also cited a cryptic line but did not directly state who he’s referring to.

Amid the political turmoil in the Philippine government, Davao City First District Congressman Paolo Duterte issued a statement expressing his thanks to their family’s supporters.
