Barbie Imperial Slams Speculation Over Alleged Powerful Admirer
BARBIE IMPERIAL — The Kapamilya actress spoke out against a circulating blind item that described a “lovely celebrity” who was said to have built a luxury home with the help of a powerful admirer.
The blind item suggested that although the celebrity appeared hardworking and successful, property experts believed the house was located in a very exclusive area in the south, with a value reaching more than one hundred million pesos. Because of the high price, some people doubted that the celebrity could afford it on her own. This led to rumors that the house might not have been paid for by hard work alone but could have been a costly gift from a rumored married and influential admirer.
Barbie felt that the blind item was clearly referring to her, especially since she had recently shared news about building her dream home in Bicol. Because of this, she quickly denied the claims and shared her reaction online. She firmly stated that no man helped her achieve her success and that everything she has achieved came from her own effort and dedication.
She also expressed sadness and disappointment that some fellow Filipinos were quick to bring others down instead of supporting and celebrating others’ achievements. Still, she ended her message by wishing everyone well and reminding people to be careful and responsible about what they post online.
Barbie also asked netizens to report the page that shared the blind item and posted a screenshot of her private conversation with the page administrator. The admin explained that they would not remove the post because, based on the clues, they believed the blind item did not match Barbie. The admin pointed out that the house mentioned was extremely expensive and located in a high-end area in the south, which they felt did not fit her situation.
In her reply, Barbie explained that some of the details could still easily make people think the blind item was about her, such as the mention of the south, which can include Bicol, and the idea of success through hard work, which she had also mentioned in her own posts. She said her main goal was simply to make sure the public understood that the blind item was not about her and that her achievements were honest and self-earned.
