Sara Duterte Wants Filipinos To “Realize the Final Marcos Mistake”, Jimmy Bondoc Claims

Jimmy Bondoc Defends Vice Pres. Sara Duterte amid Some Filipinos’ “Marcos Resign” Call

SARA DUTERTE – Jimmy Bondoc claimed that Vice President is allegedly not in favor of the calls for President Bongbong Marcos to resign.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos is not only faced with the corruption issues made by resigned House Budget Appropriations Committee chairman Zaldy Co against him but as well as allegations of supposedly using illegal drugs. It was no other than his own sister, Senator Imee Marcos, who made the accusation.

In front of thousands of members of the Iglesia ni Cristo who joined the rally, Sen. Imee Marcos claimed that PBBM allegedly uses illegal drugs. The presidential sister and Senator made the same accusation against her brother’s wife, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.

According to Sen. Imee Marcos, their family is allegedly aware of the supposed problem with her brother. Without directly calling for him to resign, she asked him to go home and undergo treatment. The Senator claimed that she can afford to see her brother losing his position but she cannot afford to lose him to illegal drugs.

In his response to his sister, Pres. Bongbong Marcos claimed that the lady that the public can see on TV is allegedly not his sister and he, together with their family and friends, wish for her to get well. While the accusations against the President triggered the call for his resignation, Malacañang clarified that resigning is not an option for Marcos Jr. and his administration.

Previously, amid the calls for the President to resign, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte was asked if she’s ready to assume the presidency in case Marcos Jr. will step down. She confirmed her readiness saying she always knew that she’s the first in the line of success. However, her remarks did not sit well with the Palace which called it “unacceptable”.

The statement of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte met different reactions. Recently, Duterte’s ally, Jimmy Bondoc, defended the Vice President from the allegations that she is allegedly hungry for power. Based on a post of News5 on social media, Bondoc claimed that VP Sara was allegedly not in favor of the calls for Pres. Bongbong Marcos to resign.

“Nung nagkaroon ng ‘BBM Resign’ na call, [VP Sara] didn’t like it. Contrary to popular opinion na parang gutom na gutom daw siya sa power,” he claimed.

Based on the post, Jimmy Bondoc further claimed that while Vice Pres. Sara Duterte recognizes the Filipinos’ constitutional rights to protest against the government, she allegedly wants the people to realize the final mistake of Pres. Bongbong Marcos. He stressed that it is not true that she is hungry for power.

“Sakanya nga parang sige I mean constitutional right niyo mag-rally syempre. Pero for her, sabi niya hayaan na lang natin matapos ‘yan para this should be the… this is her words ‘for them to realize the final Marcos mistake,'” Bondoc said.
