Sen. Robin Padilla Reacts To Social Media Personality’s Senatorial Line Up in 2028
ROBIN PADILLA – The Minority Senator claimed through a comment on social media that he is not running in the 2028 Elections.
Padilla is most popular in the Philippine showbiz industry before his senatorial run in 2022. He is tagged as the “Bad Boy of the Philippine Cinema”. The action star top-billed several movies and projects that earned him his big name in the industry.
However, his senatorial run in the 2022 Elections shocked countless Filipinos. Many people also reacted to the actor gaining the first spot in the results of the senatorial poll. In the Senate, he is one of the loyal allies of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte who is currently detained under the custody of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands.
Sen. Robin Padilla who calls for Duterte’s interim release said they are not saying that the former President should not be held accountable if he indeed committed a crime. According to him, the former President himself claimed that he is ready to face the consequences if he did something wrong but in the country.
Padilla previously expressed his strong loyalty to Duterte. He is also one of the earliest people to endorse Vice Pres. Sara Duterte for president.
Previously, during an event in Malaysia, Sen. Robin Padilla called Vice Pres. Sara Duterte as “the next president of the Philippines”. He campaigned for the supposed tandem of Duterte and Sen. Imee Marcos in the 2028 Elections.
According to the Vice President, he was also surprised by the remarks of the Senator in front of the overseas Filipino workers in Malaysia. Recently, on social media, the Senator announced that he is not running in the 2028 elections.
Social media personality Jack Argota took to social media his senatorial line-up for 2028 which includes Sen. Robin Padilla, Sen. Chiz Escudero, Atty. Jimmy Bondoc, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, Atty. Israelito Torreon, and Richard Mata among others. However, through a comment, Padilla asked the social media personality to not include him anymore as he’s not running in the next senatorial race.
Previously, when they were in Malaysia, Sen. Robin Padilla revealed why he will not run in 2028 amid his endorsement of the Sara Duterte-Imee Marcos tandem.
