Ramon Tulfo Stands by Raffy Over Vivamax Issue
RAMON TULFO – The veteran journalist addressed the online rumors linking his brother, Senator Raffy Tulfo, to an alleged indecent proposal involving a Vivamax actress. He said the circulating claims amused him, noting that some people assumed Raffy was the senator who supposedly offered ₱250,000 to a female artist in exchange for sexual favors.
Ramon expressed disbelief, saying Raffy is known to be very cautious and respectful in his marriage. He added that even if the rumor were true, there would be nothing particularly shocking about a man being unfaithful—but he stressed it would be far more embarrassing if his brother were involved with men, pointing out that there are lawmakers rumored to have relationships with male athletes.
Ramon emphasized that Raffy is widely known for being generous. He regularly gives out large sums on his TV and radio program using his own money. He compared Raffy’s generosity to that of other well-known personalities and highlighted that Raffy and his wife, Congresswoman Jocelyn Tulfo, have long been financially secure.

Their combined Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth is reportedly about ₱1 billion—significantly higher than what many politicians declare. For him, this level of transparency reflects their honesty. Ramon concluded that if anyone were to be believed in such a rumor, it would be him, not his brother.

These comments surfaced after Vivamax actress Chelsea Ylore publicly claimed she received indecent proposals from both a mayor and a senator. In a podcast interview, she shared that such offers were more common from politicians than from businessmen.

She said one mayor from Northern Luzon, described as being in his 50s or 60s, allegedly offered her ₱150,000 for a one-night encounter. She also claimed that a senator who recently attended a Senate hearing on the flood control scandal offered her an additional ₱250,000 to ₱300,000 as extra payment.
