Missing Bride-to-Be Sherra de Juan Found Safe in Ilocos

QCPD Finds Missing Bride-to-Be Sherra de Juan After Weeks of Search

SHERRA DE JUAN — The missing bride-to-be has finally been located after several weeks of searching amid growing concern.

On Monday, December 29, 2025, the Quezon City Police District confirmed that she was found in the Ilocos Region. Police officers from QCPD Station 5, together with her family, immediately traveled to pick her up, and she was expected to return to Manila later that afternoon.

Sherra was supposed to marry her fiancé, Mark Arjay Reyes, on December 14. However, on the afternoon of December 10, she was reported missing after telling her family that she would only go to a mall in North Fairview to buy shoes for her wedding. When she failed to return after several hours, her fiancé alerted the authorities. The situation became more worrying because Sherra left without bringing any personal belongings, including her mobile phone, which added to her family’s fear and confusion.

As part of the investigation, police reviewed several CCTV recordings to trace her last known movements. Footage showed her walking in an alley near their home at around 1:25 p.m. Later, at about 1:29 p.m., she was seen crossing toward a fast-food restaurant. The last recorded sighting placed her near a gasoline station in the same area at around 1:37 p.m. After that, there were no more confirmed visuals of her whereabouts.

Due to the unusual and unclear circumstances surrounding her disappearance, the QCPD formed a Special Investigation Team to focus on the case. During their inquiry, authorities looked into possible personal factors that might have contributed to her decision to leave. Based on a digital examination of the cellphone she left behind, investigators found messages suggesting that Sherra had been dealing with emotional stress and financial pressure. These were reportedly linked to the expenses for her upcoming wedding and her father’s medical needs.

However, her family, including her father and fiancé, strongly denied these claims. They stated that Sherra was not burdened in the way suggested and emphasized that the family was doing their best to support one another. Despite differing views on the possible reasons behind her disappearance, news of her safe location brought relief to many who had followed the case closely. Authorities have not yet released further details, but the focus now is on ensuring her well-being and helping her reunite safely with her loved ones.
