Janice de Belen: Kaila Is Old Enough to Decide for Herself
JANICE DE BELEN – The veteran actress spoke openly about the dating rumors linking her daughter Kaila Padilla to Daniel Padilla, saying that her main role as a parent is to protect her child while also allowing her to grow.
Janice explained that while parents naturally want to be careful and protective, young adults should still be given the chance to experience life and make their own choices. She stressed that once children are grown, parents must trust both their decisions and the values they were raised with.
“Of course, the first instinct of any parent is to protect and to overprotect in this case,” Janice said. “We should also know that like us, marami silang gustong gawin, marami silang gustong ma-experience. Of course, they need guidance pero we should allow them to experience,” she added.
Regarding the photos and videos circulating online, Janice said people will interpret what they see in their own way and that not everything needs to be explained.
