SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President refused to give an advice to the Philippine government claiming that it allegedly lacks sincerity towards the Filipino people.

The Philippine government is currently faced with several issues most especially the alleged massive corruption that implicated several senators and congressmen. Several officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) were also tagged in the supposed multi-billion flood control corruption.

Last September 21, thousands of Filipinos joined the street protests called the “Trillion Peso March” to call for accountability amid the massive corruption issues in the country. Another rally is set to be held on November 30. Undeniably, aside from the call for an end to corruption, there are also calls for a change in leadership for various reasons.

Amid the accusations of his sister, Senator Imee Marcos, the Palace clarified that resignation is not an option for Pres. Bongbong Marcos and his administration. According to Malacañang press officer undersecretary Claire Castro, the President is busy working amid the allegations against him.

The Palace also junked the calls for Marcos Jr. to undergo a drug test after Sen. Imee Marcos accused him of illegal drug use. Atty. Castro stressed that the issue is allegedly long dead as Marcos Jr. already tested negative in a drug test before he became president of the country.

Recently, amid the massive issues of corruption surrounding the Philippine government now, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte was asked about her advice to the government. It is no secret to the public that there is now a political faction between her and Pres. Bongbong Marcos with whom she shared the platform of “Unity” in 2022.

Based on a post of News5 on social media, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte refused to give an advice for the Philippine government. According to her, it is allegedly visible that the government supposedly has no sincerity for the Filipinos.

“Ayaw ko nang magpayo sa kanila kasi nakikita naman natin na wala silang sinseridad para sa taong bayan,” the Vice President said.

Currently, there are calls for the President to step down from his position amid not only corruption allegations against him but as well as illegal drug use accusations. Zaldy Co accused PBBM of allegedly ordering a P100-billion budget insertion in the 2025 national budget while presidential sister and Sen. Imee Marcos claimed that her brother is allegedly into using illegal drugs.

Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte responded on the question if she is ready to assume the presidency in case Marcos Jr. would resign.
