Ivan Cezar Ronquillo to Gina Lima: “Susunod ako sayo at makakasama nakita”
IVAN CEZAR RONQUILLO — A video posted by the former boyfriend of the late actress-model Gina Lima has gone viral following his sudden death.
In the caption, Ivan shared how much he loved Gina and said he could not imagine living without her. He also mentioned that he hoped to “follow her” and be with her again someday, showing how deeply he was hurting.
“Mahal na mahal kita gina hinding hindi ko kaya na wala ka sa tabi ko at hinding hindi ko kaya mabuhay ng wala ka sobrang sakit na sa tabi pa kita nawala hayaan mo susunod ako sayo at makakasama nakita alam na natin satin dalawa na walang makakapigil sa pagmamahal natin,” he noted.
Ivan Cezar Ronquillo was found lifeless in their family home on Wednesday and was later declared dead at the hospital. Police suggested he may have attempted to take his own life.
He was discovered in the same home where Gina Lima had been found unresponsive days earlier; he had also rushed her to the hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival. The Quezon City Police District’s CIDU is handling both cases.
Police said the two were together before her death. On November 15, they had drinks at Gina’s condo, and the next day they went to Ivan’s home. Around 8 p.m., Ivan found Gina unresponsive and called his father before rushing her to the hospital. Her medical report listed heart and breathing failure as the cause of death.
Early police checks do not support claims that Gina was physically harmed. Only minor bruises were found on her legs, and scratches on Ivan’s face were reportedly from Gina’s friends. Authorities are also investigating tablets and suspected kush found at the scene. Toxicology and autopsy results are pending.
