Bongbong Marcos To “Not Even Dignify the Accusations” of Zaldy Co, Palace Says

Malacañang Speaks on Pres. Bongbong Marcos amid Corruption Allegations by Zaldy Co

BONGBONG MARCOS – The Palace relayed the decision of the President to “not even dignify the accusations” of resigned Ako Bicol Partylist Representative Zaldy Co.

Recently, countless Filipinos were surprised after Zaldy Co accused Pres. Bongbong Marcos and former Speaker Martin Romualdez of allegedly ordering a P100-billion budget insertion in the 2025 budget. According to him, the kickback from the said projects supposedly went to the President and the then-House Speaker and he allegedly did not get any part of it.

Co also accused Marcos Jr. and Romualdez of allegedly getting a P56 billion kickback. According to the resigned Ako Bicol Partylist Representative, it is allegedly not true that he got a P21-billion kickback as what the witnesses claimed to the ICI. He claimed that the amount was P56 billion and it allegedly went to Marcos Jr. and Romualdez.

Zaldy Co also confirmed the claims of Orly Guteza, a former marine who testified during a Senate flood control hearing. Guteza, a former aide of Co, claimed that he was allegedly part of the group that delivered suitcases filled with millions of money to the residential properties of Co and Romualdez.

Following the claim of Zaldy Co, Senator Rodante Marcoleta called Orly Guteza as allegedly the “most credible witness ever”. He was the one who presented Guteza as a surprise witness during a Senate flood control hearing.

Amid the corruption accusations of Zaldy Co not only against former House Speaker Martin Romualdez but as well as Pres. Bongbong Marcos, some Filipinos are calling for the resignation of the President. There are also those who await the personal statement of the Chief Executive over the matter.

Recently, Malacañang spoke on the accusations against Pres. Bongbong Marcos. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Palace’s Presidential Communications Office acting secretary Dave Gomez said that there is a small group of people who wants Marcos Jr. to resign from his position.

“Napakaliit ng grupo nitong gustong pababain ang Pangulo. Hindi ba obvious ‘yung mga gustong magpapaba ay ‘yung mga tatamaan?” Gomez told DZMM during an interview.

Based on the report, the Palace also shared the side of Pres. Bongbong Marcos amid the corruption allegations against him. According to him, they are not minding the alleged erroneous “script” of Zaldy Co.

“Sabi ni BBM, he wil not even dignify the accusations dahil napakaraming loopholes nung script. Katawa-tawa…Hindi namin ito pinapansin,” he said.

According to Gomez, they are already monitoring the personalities who are seeking to destabilize the Philippine government. Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte issued a statement amid the massive corruption issues in the Philippines.
