Trust Rating of Pres. Bongbong Marcos, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Decline in Latest SWS Survey
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President was asked about the possible reason for the drop in her trust rating from 61% to 53%.
There are opinion-polling bodies that conduct survey to determine the public trust on the president, the vice president, and other key government officials in the Philippines. One of them is the Social Weather Station or more popularly called the SWS. Recently, amid the flood control issue in the country, it released the result of its latest survey that showed both Marcos Jr. and Duterte’s trust ratings have declined.

It is no secret to the public that Pres. Bongbong Marcos and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte have a rift — although she is not calling for him to resign saying he won’t allegedly do it. The Vice President claimed that she, instead, asks the President to do his job — which she claimed he allegedly still does not do.

Based on the result of the latest SWS survey commissioned by the Stratbase, the “much trust” rating of Pres. Bongbong Marcos dropped from 48% in June to 43%. His “little trust” rating increased from 30% to 36% in the previous month while 21% are undecided.

With regards to the “much trust” rating of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, it dropped from 61% in June to 53% in September. Her “little trust” rating is at 28% while 18% are undecided. Recently, the Vice President was asked about the possible reason why her trust rating dropped.
During an interview with News5, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte admitted that she cannot speculate on the possible reasons of the Filipinos why her trust rating declined. Meanwhile, the Vice President assured that her office continues to strive in bettering their work to make sure that their projects reach the people.
“Hindi ako makapag-speculate kung ano ang rason ng mga kababayan natin kung bakit bumaba ang trust rating pero ang masasabi ko ay committed kami sa Office of the Vice President at ako, ang pangalawang pangulo, na pag-igihin pa ‘yung trabaho namin at paniguraduhin na lahat ng projects na nandiyan sa OVP ay umabot doon sa mga unserved and underserved areas ng ating bansa at doon sa mga areas na nangangailangan,” she said based on the post.

Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also spoke about the junked interim release plea of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Vice President claimed that she has not talked with her father for quite a while now. According to her, it is her youngest sister, Kitty Duterte, who knows how their father is.
The Vice President claimed that they already expect that their patriarch will spend the Christmas holidays inside the detention facility of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands. Based on the report, she said she won’t ask for the help of Marcos Jr. on the interim release plea of her father.
Amid the flood control issue in the Philippines now and the recent appointment of the country’s new chief graft-buster, Ombudsman Boying Remulla claimed that he will reopen and visit the complaints filed against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.
