Kiko Barzaga Reveals Residents of Forbes Park Filed a Case Against Him

Forbes Park Residents File Complaint Against Kiko Barzaga

KIKO BARZAGA – The Cavite 4th District representative revealed through a Facebook post that residents of Forbes Park in Makati City had allegedly filed a case against him. Although he did not specify the nature of the complaint, many believe it is connected to the “Anti-Marcos Protest” he organized on the night of October 12 until the early morning of October 13.

Barzaga said he was informed about the case filed against him. He added that imprisonment cannot frighten someone willing to stand and even die for his beliefs, and he vowed to continue protesting until justice is achieved.

He wrote: “I have been informed that the residents of Forbes Park have filed a case against me. You can’t use imprisonment to scare an individual who is ready to die for his beliefs. We will protest again, until justice is done!”

The post quickly went viral and received mixed reactions online. Supporters praised Barzaga’s courage, saying he is inspiring the younger generation to be socially aware and to stand up for what is right. Others questioned the reason behind the complaint, asking if the protest truly disrupted the lives of Forbes Park residents.

However, some netizens criticized Barzaga, accusing politicians like him of corruption and blaming them for the country’s economic problems. A few even mocked him using his nickname “Cong Meow,” which has become a popular online joke.

As of now, the Forbes Park Homeowners’ Association has not released any official statement or response regarding the alleged complaint.

Meanwhile, Francisco “Kiko” Austria Barzaga is a politician and animal welfare advocate currently serving as the Representative of Cavite’s 4th District. He is the son of former Congressman Elpidio Barzaga Jr. and Jenny Barzaga of Dasmariñas. He began his political career as a City Councilor in 2019, later becoming President of the Philippine Councilors League – Cavite Chapter, before being elected to Congress in 2025 following his father’s passing.
