Dismissed Gasoline Boy Steals P100,000 from His Previous Workplace
A former gasoline boy returned to the gas station where he was previously dismissed and stole P100,000 from his former workplace.
The incident happened at a gas station in Barangay Dadiangas North on Tuesday. According to police reports, the man returned to his former workplace a few days after being dismissed. At first, he casually chatted with his former co-workers, giving the impression that he was just visiting.
After a few moments, the situation turned alarming when he suddenly announced a holdup. CCTV footage showed the suspect armed with a gun, ordering a female employee to put the money into a bag.

Investigators revealed that the man was terminated recently due to issues related to the station’s earnings. Because he had previously worked there, he knew exactly where the security guard’s firearm was kept and where the cash was stored, allowing him to carry out the robbery quickly and confidently.
“Kasi one day ago, two days ago, natanggal siya sa kanyang trabaho as gasoline employee dahil sa nagkaproblema siya na deificit. Kumpyan lang yung staff noong nagpunta siya roon akala nila bumisita,” General Santos City Police P/Col Nicomedes Olaivar Jr. Said.
The police identified the suspect and are now conducting follow-up operations for his arrest. Authorities also believe that the crime was carefully planned, given the suspect’s familiarity with the location and its routine operations.
The gas station management has tightened its security measures after the incident to protect its employees and prevent similar cases in the future.
The suspect is facing charges of robbery with intimidation and may receive a heavier penalty for using a firearm during the crime. The police continue to urge the public to report any information that could help in locating the suspect.
