Benjamin Alves Says He’s a Fan of Vince Dizon

Benjamin Alves Calls Vince Dizon a “Man of Action”

BENJAMIN ALVES – The Kapuso actor expressed his admiration for Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon, calling him a “man of action.”

In an interview with PEP, Benjamin shared that he was pleasantly surprised when he saw Secretary Dizon at a membership club he visited for an interview. According to the actor, they exchanged greetings when the secretary nodded at him, and he respectfully addressed him as “Sir” and “Idol.”

When asked about his reaction upon seeing the DPWH chief, Benjamin quickly said that he was a fan. He praised Secretary Dizon for his impressive performance and accomplishments within a short period of time, saying that he has achieved a lot in less than two months.

“I’m a fan! He really did more in what, less than two months, sixty days? Man of action, I guess. That’s the best way to describe him,” he said.

Benjamin added that what stands out about the secretary is his ability to take action and deliver results. He further explained that when Secretary Dizon promised to “clean house,” people could actually see it happening. He also commended how the secretary works hard and fulfills his duties as a true public servant—something the public expects from government officials.

Meanwhile, Secretary Vince Dizon recently revealed new developments in the ongoing investigation into flood control projects. On Wednesday, October 15, he shared that more names have surfaced in connection with the issue. He explained that the scope of the investigation has widened and that the contractors involved are no longer just the usual names previously mentioned. He added that the public will soon see these new names once the ICI (Infrastructure Committee Investigation) files the related cases.

“Kapag nakita n’yo po ‘yong mga kasong ipa-file ng ICI sa susunod, mayroon na pong ibang mga contractor na pangalan na makikita n’yo do’n. Hindi na po ito ‘yong usual,” Dizon said.
