Netizen Shares Photo of Samgyup Restaurant That Shut Down 2 Months After Opening
A male netizen shared a photo of the samgyup restaurant that quickly shut down only two months after starting operations.
Recently, Jesse Alcaraz, a Facebook user, shared about the closure of the samgyup restaurant after it suffered losses and could no longer sustain the business. The post quickly went viral and elicited reactions online.
According to the Alcaraz, the restaurant had launched earlier this year with an eye-catching offer: unlimited pork, chicken, and even beef for just P199 per head. While the promo attracted customers, it also raised questions about how such a low price could cover the high costs of meat, vegetables, rent, salaries, and utilities.

The netizen admitted that from the start, the business seemed unsustainable. Although the restaurant initially drew in crowds, the balance between expenses and earnings simply didn’t add up.
In just a short time, the overhead became too heavy, and the business was forced to close. Many businesses face the same problem for offering too much at a price that is too low in hopes of attracting more sales.
“Sobrang mahal ng beef at pork, unli din yung lettuce, may rent, sweldo, utilities and other overhead. Fast forward, in just 2 months, closed down na yung business. By the way, hindi isolated case ito,” Alcaraz wrote.
While the intention may be good, the lack of proper planning and realistic pricing often leads to losses rather than growth. Behind every shuttered restaurant are owners who once dreamed of financial independence and stability, only to find themselves buried deeper in debt.
Entrepreneurs are encouraged to carefully study their costs, set reasonable prices, and ensure at least a break-even margin during the early stages of their business. While promos can attract attention, sustainability is key to long-term success.
