SARAH DISCAYA – The controversial contractor is once again making headlines after a video of her went viral during the recent Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing on questionable flood control projects.
On Thursday, September 25, Sarah attended the hearing with her husband, Curlee Discaya, to answer questions from senators about their alleged involvement in the controversial projects. During a lunch break, Sarah was caught on camera receiving a soft drink and even asking for another one for her husband.
The short clip showed Sarah looking visibly happy as she arranged the drinks for both of them. It quickly spread online and drew mixed reactions from netizens.
Some netizens reacted with humor and sarcasm, pointing out the irony of Sarah happily drinking soda despite claims that she has health issues such as diabetes and hypertension. Many joked about her choice of beverage, saying her happiness could be satisfied with just a Coke, while others quipped that she might need insulin later after indulging in the drink.
These reactions stemmed from a previous excuse made by Sarah’s husband, Curlee, explaining why Sarah could not attend an earlier Senate hearing. At that time, Curlee claimed Sarah was too ill to appear due to her medical condition.
However, this excuse quickly came under scrutiny when evidence surfaced showing inconsistencies in their statements. In an official letter sent to the Senate, Sarah herself provided a different explanation for her absence.
In the letter, Sarah stated that she couldn’t attend the Senate hearing because she had a previously scheduled important meeting with her employees. The meeting was meant to address the company’s current problems and their impact on the staff. She added that since some employees were traveling from different locations, it would be difficult to cancel or reschedule the meeting.
