Recently, Ernildobueno, a Threads user, shared the story of how he met the homeless mother and child outside the bank. The post quickly went viral and received various reactions from the online community.
Ernil shared that while at the parking lot of a bank, a mother and her child approached him asking for help. They wanted to exchange the coins they had collected for paper bills so they could use the money to buy clothes and eat at Jollibee for the child’s birthday.
The mother explained that she felt shy paying with so many coins and was hoping someone could help her inside the bank.
Curious, Ernildo asked how much they had saved. The mother said they had managed to collect P1,750, which surprised him because she revealed they had only been saving since that very morning.
Ernildo then decided to accompany them inside the bank and helped them get the coins exchanged for bills. While waiting for their turn at the teller, he shared how moved he was by the effort the mother and child made just to make the day special.
