Jimmy Bondoc Declares VP Sara Duterte as the Leader Who Can Bring Prosperity to the Philippines

PH Will Prosper Under VP Sara Duterte’s Presidency, Says Jimmy Bondoc

JIMMY BONDOC – Singer-turned-lawyer Jimmy Bondoc proudly declared his belief that the Philippines will flourish if Vice President Sara Duterte takes the highest seat of power.

Singer and lawyer Jimmy Bondoc, a known supporter of former President Rodrigo Duterte, expressed his belief that the Philippines would thrive if Vice President Sara Duterte eventually assumes the presidency.

In a Facebook post, Bondoc described Duterte as a trustworthy leader. “This, I assure you, my dear friends from the other side: Sara Du30 is a good, honest leader. Do not believe the bad forecasts in case she legally takes over. JUST IN CASE that happens, the whole country will prosper. Even you. God bless us all,” he wrote.

Bondoc’s remarks sparked discussions online, with some supporters welcoming the statement while critics raised concerns about Duterte’s track record. The Constitution outlines that the Vice President can only take over the presidency if the incumbent President dies, becomes permanently incapacitated, resigns, or is removed from office through impeachment and conviction.

Duterte has previously faced controversy regarding the use of confidential funds. Reports revealed irregularities in the allocation of ₱613 million under the Office of the Vice President and the Department of Education, which she also heads. The issue gained traction after the Commission on Audit found that many of the supposed beneficiaries listed in connection with the funds had no existing records with the Philippine Statistics Authority. Among them was a questionable entry under the name “Mary Grace Piattos,” which appeared to be a combination of a local restaurant chain and a popular snack brand.

Despite these controversies, Duterte continues to enjoy strong backing from loyalists and allies of her father. Bondoc’s statement further solidifies the support she has among Duterte’s base, who view her as a potential successor to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in the future.

While critics demand more accountability, supporters argue that her leadership style, coupled with her family’s political influence, could steer the country toward growth if she rises to the presidency. Bondoc’s words have once again highlighted the ongoing divide in Philippine politics, where loyalty and skepticism continue to clash over the Duterte family’s role in shaping the nation’s future.
