“I was about to order my lunch at McDo when I saw Tatay carefully setting up his small stand of rambutan and durian. While I was eating, even though I was so hungry after duty, I couldn’t take another bite because my eyes kept going back to him and struggling just to assemble his goods. My heart couldn’t take it, so without hesitation, I offered a small act of kindness by buying him lunch. Yes, I was almost late for duty huhuhu but moments like this remind me what truly matters. It breaks my heart seeing our elders still working so hard just to get by.

If you ever pass by McDonald’s here in Silay City, please support Tatay. He told me he’s always there, but sadly, only a few people stop to buy from him. My heart is overflowing after seeing his genuine smile. Truly, even the smallest act of kindness can change someone’s day.

Go, go, go Tatay! May God continue to bless you more abundantly.
