Pres. Bongbong Marcos himself denied having a role in the impeachment case against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. He also previously claimed that he is open to reconciliation with the Duterte family. The feud between the two (2) political clans was triggered with the controversial arrest and the transfer of custody of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands.
Ahead of the opening of the 20th Congress, the Supreme Court declared the articles of impeachment against Vice Pres. Duterte as “unconstitutional”. The high court said the impeachment complaint did not follow the one-year rule. Meanwhile, it clarified that its ruling does not dismisses the charges filed against Duterte.

Recently, based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the office of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte reaffirmed their commitment to serve the Filipino people. According to the OVP, they are ready to serve and assist the Filipinos not only in the Philippines but as well as abroad “despite limitations in capacity and budget”.
Previously, amid the criticisms on her frequent travels, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that she usually travels abroad because the Filipino communities there are allegedly “frustrated” already over what is happening in the country.
