Malacañang Claire Castro

According to Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro, they have no information as to where the Vice President is but they received a report that Duterte is allegedly planning to go to Kuwait on August 8. However, Malacañang also claimed that they did not receive any request for a travel authority.

“Mayroon daw balak ang bise presidente na pumunta sa Kuwait ng August 8, pero as we speak wala pa pong naihahain na request for travel authority ang bise presidente,” Castro said.

Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte reacted to the remarks of the press officer of Malacañang. She called on Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro not to allegedly “propagate misinformation and fake news”. According to her, there is no truth that she went to Kuwait without a travel authority.

“Dapat hindi kayo mag-propagate ng misinformation and fake news. And there is no truth na nagpunta ako sa Kuwait without a travel authority,” the Vice President said.

Based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News, Malacañang responded to the remarks of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. In an interview, Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro denied mentioning that she went to Kuwait.

“Definitely, wala tayong binanggit na siya ay nag-travel sa Kuwait,” the Palace official said.

The Senate voted to archive the impeachment case against the Vice President. However, according to Senator Imee Marcos, Duterte’s archived impeachment is allegedly “dead but not buried” and may be revived if the Supreme Court changes its decision.
