Regine Velasquez’s Sister Accused of Pushing a Fan

Sister of Regine Velasquez Accused of Pushing a Fan

DIANE VELASQUEZ-ROQUE – A fan accused the sister of Asia’s Songbird, Regine Velasquez, of pushing fans during a meet-and-greet event.

The incident reportedly happened right after the Super Divas concert of Regine Velasquez and Vice Ganda at the Araneta Coliseum. According to the fan, she was pushed by Diane when she tried to take a selfie with Regine.

The accusation quickly spread on social media, drawing heavy criticism toward Diane from online bashers, even though the full details of what happened were unclear. In response, Regine Velasquez publicly defended her sister through a post on X (formerly Twitter). She firmly denied that Diane had pushed the fan and stated that she had video evidence to prove it.

Regine expressed her gratitude to her supporters, saying she appreciated those who attended her shows and understood their desire to make every meeting special. However, she also explained that it is not always possible due to time constraints. She reminded fans that she is not a machine and can also get tired.

She clarified that her sister did not push anyone nor make the remark about paying for the venue, as alleged by the fan. Regine said another person made that comment and that she personally heard it. The venue was crowded, and staff were reminding everyone to limit themselves to one photo each since it was already past midnight. Despite this, the fan insisted on taking a selfie.

Regine explained that Diane’s hand had been resting on her shoulder and was simply moved so the fan could take a selfie, but no pushing occurred. She emphasized that her sister and the rest of the team were only ensuring her safety. She also mentioned that she and Vice Ganda had been performing since 8 p.m., and both were exhausted by the end of the show.

Despite their fatigue, they still accommodated fans for photos. Regine admitted she was not angry but was disappointed with the false accusation.
