Heated Argument Ends in Tragedy at Nueva Vizcaya Drinking Session
NUEVA VIZCAYA – What began as a casual drinking session between friends in Nueva Vizcaya ended in tragedy after one man was fatally punched during an argument.
A drinking session in Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya, turned deadly after a 32-year-old man lost his life when an argument with a friend escalated into violence. Police reports revealed that the incident happened in the community of Upper Baan, where the victim and the suspect had been drinking together.
According to investigators, a heated exchange broke out between the two men. In the middle of the confrontation, the suspect allegedly delivered a punch to the victim’s head. The victim immediately collapsed and lost consciousness.
The man was rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival. Authorities later confirmed that the force of the blow was severe enough to cause his sudden collapse.
Following the incident, police arrested the suspect, who is now facing a homicide charge. Investigators noted that the suspect has so far refused to issue a statement regarding the case.
The tragic event left the local community in shock, with residents expressing disbelief as the two men were reportedly long-time friends. Investigators are now working to reconstruct the events leading up to the altercation and are also considering whether alcohol intoxication played a role in the escalation.
