Heart Evangelista Shares Her Saving Secrets
HEART EVANGELISTA – Kapuso star and fashion icon Heart Evangelista is proving that style and financial smarts can go hand in hand as she opens up about her saving and investment strategies.
Heart Evangelista recently opened up about her evolving perspective on finances, highlighting how she has grown more intentional with saving and investing.
During the second episode of GCash’s Spotlight series filmed on August 12 in Taguig, Heart sat down with host Boy Abunda, who asked about her current approach to money management. The actress candidly admitted to having matured significantly in this aspect.

Heart expressed, “It has a lot to do with having so much proving to do for yourself and others [before]. Now that’s out, everything I buy is planned.” She added that for the first time in her life, she feels genuinely proud of the person she has become when it comes to handling her savings.
The actress revealed that she carefully plans her purchases, especially when it comes to fashion pieces. Every dress she acquires is bought with a specific occasion in mind, and she now places greater weight on the value of her talent fees. She even asks herself if a purchase is truly worth it or if it might just be a “tapon-pera” moment.
“Because it’s what I do for a living, it’s definitely an investment in terms of how I like work to position myself or branding or something that I would like to put more value to what I’m going to endure,” Heart explained.
Boy also touched on the apartment Heart bought in Paris in 2022, asking if she sees it as an investment. She agreed, noting how much sense it makes since she frequently visits the city. “Instead of going to a hotel and paying X amount, I already have a place,” she said, adding that having her own property also spares her from the hassle of overpacking.
While she recognizes that many still believe “cash is king,” Heart emphasized that she is now more focused on saving and only spending on items that hold real value. As she concluded, “For me, I’m really into like majorly saving my whole amount of money.”
