The Truth Behind Esnyr Ranollo’s 16 Beloved Characters
ESNYR RANOLLO – Former “PBB Celebrity Collab Edition” housemate Esnyr Ranollo is setting the record straight after an online diagnosis linked his comedic versatility to a mental health condition.
Esnyr recently shared a surprising and amusing story about being “diagnosed” online with multiple personality disorder. The Kapamilya star and content creator opened up about the matter during a conversation about the many characters he plays in his YouTube and TikTok videos.
Long before his rise in showbiz, Esnyr had already built a huge following on social media thanks to his hilarious and relatable school-themed skits. These comedic portrayals often depict everyday student life and have made him a favorite among netizens.
Through this creative journey, Esnyr also formed a friendship with fellow housemate and “PBB” Big Winner Brent Manalo.
In an interview with broadcast journalist Karen Davila for her YouTube channel, the “PBB Celebrity Collab Edition” 3rd Big Placer was asked about the number of characters he has created for his content.
“Sixteen po siya, actually. Actually puwede na akong magtayo ng isang buong barangay na puro characters ko po lahat,” Esnyr answered humorously.
Karen followed up with a playful question: “Hindi ka ba slightly psychotic?”
To this, Esnyr responded with a laugh, “May nag-diagnose na po sa akin dati online na may multiple personality disorder daw ako. Wala po akong gano’ng background.”
Multiple personality disorder—now more commonly known as dissociative identity disorder (DID)—is a mental health condition where a person has two or more distinct personalities that function separately from one another.
Esnyr clarified that he is perfectly fine. “I am healthy po. Just to clear things up. Healthy naman po ako as a person. Pero ayun po, I just want love portraying lang po talaga.”
Among his most well-loved characters in his school series content are “Precious,” “Ma’am Castro,” “Charlotte,” “Balong,” and “Andrei.” Each persona brings its own charm and comedic twist, making his videos a mix of satire, wit, and relatable humor.
For Esnyr, creating multiple characters is simply an art form and a passion—proof that his talent lies in versatility, not in any medical condition.
