Anne Curtis Denies Post Against Vice Ganda

Anne Curtis Calls for Respect Over Fake Post

ANNE CURTIS – The actress and television host took to social media to clear up a rumor involving her and her fellow It’s Showtime host, Vice Ganda.

A fake social media account pretending to be Anne posted a statement criticizing Vice Ganda over a recent joke he made about former President Rodrigo Duterte. The joke, which mentioned “The Hague” and the “ICC,” drew negative reactions from some Duterte supporters and political allies, including Atty. Harry Roque. One supporter even asked the Davao City government to declare Vice as persona non grata. However, Acting Vice Mayor Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II said the city had more important matters to focus on.

Vice President Sara Duterte also chose not to comment, saying she had not yet seen or read the joke in question. Despite the controversy, Vice Ganda continued to receive strong support from fans and fellow celebrities. One of them was Anne Curtis, who clarified that the post linked to her was fake.

Through her official X (formerly Twitter) account, Anne explained that the message did not come from her and urged people to stop spreading false information. She emphasized the importance of respect, highlighting the word to show her frustration over the fake story. She also assured the public that she and Vice are on good terms and have no personal issues.

The fake account that created the post was easy to spot because even the word “respect” in the message was spelled incorrectly. This further confirmed that the post was fake and was intended to stir trouble between the two hosts.

Anne also announced that she would appear on It’s Showtime on August 13, greeting her fans warmly while addressing the controversy. Her statement not only defended Vice Ganda but also showed her firm stand against the spread of false information online.
