Zac Alviz Offers Free Shelter to Flood Victims After Viral Condo Post

After Backlash, Zac Alviz Opens Condos and Villas to Those in Need

ZAC ALVIZ – A content creator and property manager is now extending help to families affected by recent flooding after facing backlash for a previous social media post.

In a heartfelt gesture, he recently offered free temporary shelter through his Airbnb units and private villas. In a Facebook post, Zac wrote: “We have available Airbnb condo units and villas, and we’re offering them FREE of charge for 3 days and 2 nights, with FREE meals included.”

He shared that they are prioritizing pregnant women, families with infants, and senior citizens who urgently need a safe place to stay. For those in accessible areas, free pick-up can also be arranged.

According to Zac, they have 10 condo units and 2 villas—with four still available at the time of posting. The condos are located near GMA Kamuning and Mall of Asia, while the villas are in Lubao, Pampanga. He also encouraged fellow property owners to pitch in: “If you have a spare unit or room that’s not currently in use and you’re willing to help, please reach out.”

This act of generosity comes after a wave of criticism over an earlier Facebook post that many found insensitive. In that post, Zac remarked that condo living felt like a smart investment during floods, because residents could simply “close their windows and watch Netflix.”

Netizens reacted strongly, saying the post lacked empathy—especially while many were suffering from flooding and storm damage. Even public figures like Rendon Labador called him out.

Later that day, Zac issued a public apology, admitting that his post was poorly timed and inconsiderate of what others were going through. He explained that he grew up in flood-prone areas like Valenzuela and Malabon, and should have been more mindful. He also shared a personal reflection, acknowledging that he tends to focus more on solutions than people’s feelings. While his intent was to highlight the value of condo living, he now understands how his message may have come across as insensitive.
