Yen Santos Explains Viral Child Rumor in First Vlog
YEN SANTOS – The actress has finally addressed the long-standing rumors linking her to former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson, specifically the claim that they have a child together.
In her first vlog titled “Questions I Am Desperate to Answer,” Yen clarified that the 11-year-old boy many assume is her son is actually her youngest brother. She explained that they are three siblings, and the boy in question is the youngest—not her child. She shared that the rumor has circulated on TikTok for years, with people claiming the child she allegedly shares with Chavit is now “all grown up.” Yen stated plainly that while the boy is indeed 11 years old, he is her brother.
She added that Chavit is a close family friend and her brother’s godfather, which may have contributed to the confusion. While she usually avoids correcting rumors, she said the issue has persisted for so long that she felt it was time to speak up. Yen admitted that the rumor began early in her acting career, and at the time, she didn’t know how to handle it. She was deeply hurt, especially knowing that her brother—just a child—was being dragged into the gossip.
At one point, she even suggested creating a video with Chavit so he could publicly confirm the truth. Yen ended by expressing her love for her brother and reiterated that he is her brother, not her son.
Meanwhile, Yen Santos is an actress, singer, and endorser. She rose to fame in 2010 as a housemate on Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010 and later gained recognition for her lead role in Pure Love, the Philippine adaptation of the Korean drama 49 Days.
