Vice Pres. Duterte said the government should make use of the technology like drones and CCTVs. According to her, we are allegedly living like in the 1970s with the move to increase police visibility in the streets.

“Ang daming teknolohiya na available na ngayon sa market… May drone, robot, CCTV at napakarami pang iba na pwede mong gamitin, puwede i-harness from the universe para gumaling, gumanda at umayos ang trabaho ng pulis,” the Vice President said.

Recently, PNP chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III said Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is welcome to visit Camp Crame. Based on a report on PhilStar, the PNP Chief said she could see the technology procured by the PNP for increased visibility.

According to the PNP Chief, Vice Pres. Duterte allegedly saw the drones and the body-worn cameras back when she was a guest of honor at an event held at Camp Karingal in Quezon City. Meanwhile, based on the report, he stressed that the criticisms of the Vice President will help improve the PNP.

When he made his remarks about the continuity of the war against drugs in a “peaceful way”, Pres. Bongbong Marcos witnessed the destruction of the seized illegal drugs. It also earned a comment from the Vice President.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte said it is not the job of Pres. Bongbong Marcos to have a “photo-op” with the seized illegal drugs. She stressed that it is a job and not a photo opportunity. Malacañang immediately reacted to the claim of the Vice President and reminded her that her father was also present during the destruction of drugs when he was the Chief Executive.
