SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President vowed to answer to the issue of Confidential Funds “publicly” if the impeachment trial will not push through.

It was last February 5 when Vice Pres. Sara Duterte was impeached by the House of Representatives. Prior to it, the lower chamber investigated the alleged misuse of the Confidential Funds of the offices led by Duterte. She also earned criticisms after the aliases of the alleged recipients of the Confidential Funds were exposed by the House.
Based on a report on GMA News, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that there are allegedly rules in the use of aliases in intelligence operations. According to her, her camp will invite an intelligence operations expert as a resource person in the impeachment trial.
“But let me just say this: I think it is wrong for everyone to pick up as truth or as a fact all the pronouncements of the members of the House of Representatives, particularly with the fictitious names,” the Vice President said.
Some of the aliases used as names of the alleged recipients of the Confidential Funds are names of grocery items. There are also those dubbed as Amoy Liu, Team Amoy Asim, Joug De Asim, and Fernan Amuy. Based on the report, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte maintained that there was allegedly no misuse of confidential funds in her office.
According to the Vice President, she will answer to the issue “publicly” if the trial will not push through. The Vice President has filed a counter-affidavit before the Ombudsman in response to the accusations of her alleged misuse of the Confidential Funds.
Currently, the Vice President is in The Hague now to visit her father who is detained under the custody of the International Criminal Court for more than 100 days now. She revealed the last wish of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte if he dies during his ICC detention.
