Husband of Rufa Mae Quinto Dies
TREVOR MAGALLANES – The estranged husband of Filipina actress and comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto has passed away.
His death shocked many, especially since it occurred while he and Rufa were in the middle of divorce proceedings. The news was confirmed by Rufa herself through an emotional Instagram post, where she shared photos of Trevor with their daughter, Athena. Several celebrities expressed their sympathy online—Maxene Magalona sent her love, Alessandra De Rossi simply commented, “Love you,” and Candy Pangilinan offered a heartfelt “tight hug.”
Before Trevor’s passing, the couple had been living separately and were in the process of legally ending their marriage. Although some fans hoped for a reconciliation after Trevor posted old family photos on New Year’s Day 2025, he made it clear that there was no chance of them getting back together. “We are not back,” he firmly stated in response to speculations on social media. He added that he had no intention of having any relationship with Rufa beyond that of former spouses.

On December 13, 2024, Trevor openly admitted that their marriage was falling apart. In a candid post, he described it as a “mess” and expressed his desire to move forward, focusing solely on his daughter. He acknowledged that the divorce was painful but necessary, both for himself and for their child.

The situation became more complicated when rumors and screenshots of their private conversations began circulating online. Some of the messages revealed the depth of their disagreements. There was also an unconfirmed report that Trevor had been arrested in Honolulu, Hawaii, for trespassing in early December 2024. Though the details were unclear, the arrest raised more questions about his personal state at the time.

Rufa Mae and Trevor were married in 2016 and lived in the United States, where Trevor worked as a police officer. They welcomed their daughter in 2017. In 2024, Rufa spent more time in the Philippines for work, while Trevor remained in the U.S.
