Registered Nurse Shares Success Story in Different Line of Work
A registered nurse has inspired many online after sharing her journey of finding success in a completely different line of work.
Recently, Bettina De Leon, a Facebook user, opened up about her story, showing that success doesn’t always come in the way we expect. The post quickly elicited reactions from the social media users.
Even before graduating nursing, Bettina already had her first child. After becoming a registered nurse, she sent her resume to hospitals all over Bataan and spent two years working at the Red Cross.
De Leon even reached Norway in hopes of finding better opportunities, but things didn’t go as planned. Despite her qualifications, finding a stable job in her field proved harder than she thought.
As a mother, she knew she had to find a way to earn. With an open mind, she started trying different jobs until she eventually found herself in the world of selling. Some people questioned why a nurse like her ended up in a small business, but Bettina didn’t feel embarrassed.
Through selling, she was able to provide for her child, renovate their home, buy her first brand new car, manage daily expenses with less stress, and even enjoy trips abroad. Her backup plan became her main path to a better life.

“Bago ko gumradweyt ng nursing may panganay na anak na ko. Naging Registered nurse ako at nakapagpasa ng resume sa lahat ng ospital sa Bataan. Nakadalawang taon sa Red Cross. Nakarating ng Norway pero hindi nakahanap ng trabaho. I was made to believe na yayaman ako pag nag nurse ako… pero parang dumadaan sa butas ng karayom bago mo marating yon.
Kailangan ko gumawa ng income kasi may anak ako. Excited ako na gumawa ng income hanggang napunta ako sa iba iba trabaho…
Sa huli nauwi ako sa pagtitinda. Marami ang napapaisip na nurse na ko pero sa pagtitinda ako nauwi. Hindi ko ikinahiya ang ginagawa ko. Iba ang nasa isip ko.. inisip ko dito ako makakagawa ng income. True enough,, sa pagtitinda ko nasurvive ang buhay. Dito ko na experience na makabili ng unang brand new car, parenovate ng bahay, makapag budget ng daily expenses ng hindi kinakapos, makapag out of the country at ma enjoy ang buhay..
