Pokwang to Fyang: “Wag muna mag yabang”
POKWANG – The actress, comedian, and television host took to social media to call out Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 Big Winner Fyang Smith for being “mayabang,” or arrogant.
Fyang recently made headlines online after proudly declaring during an event how proud she is of her PBB Gen 11 batchmates. “Walang makakatalo sa batch namin,” she exclaimed. Her statement received mixed reactions from netizens, and one of those who responded was Marietta Subong, more popularly known as Pokwang.
Pokwang gave Fyang some heartfelt advice, reminding her that humility is the secret to a long and lasting career in showbiz. With over two decades of experience, Pokwang shared that although many have joined Pinoy Big Brother over the years, only a few remain active in the entertainment industry. She encouraged Fyang to stay grounded and warned that arrogance, especially early in one’s career, can be a major misstep.

“my God iha 21 years na ako sa showbiz at ang sekreto BE HUMBLE iha yan muna ang pag aralan naka ilang pbb season na ang nasaksihan ko pero iilan nalang silang active sa showbiz so iha please wag muna mag yabang bad yan,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, Fyang Smith is already under fire online after a separate video of her at a public gathering began circulating on social media.
In the clip, which went viral on Sunday, July 6, fellow housemate Dingdong Bahan was speaking onstage when Fyang suddenly interrupted and, to the surprise of many, wiped saliva on his face. The incident drew heavy criticism from netizens, many of whom found it disgusting and disrespectful, noting that her behavior was inappropriate for the occasion.

Several commenters called her actions unprofessional and immature. Others shared their disappointment, saying that Fyang, once admired for her authenticity and charm, now seems to be attracting attention for the wrong reasons.
As of press time, Fyang Smith has yet to respond to Pokwang’s message or issue a public statement.
