Lawyer Harry Roque Tells Sen. Imee Marcos To Prove Loyalty to Duterte Supporters
HARRY ROQUE – The former spokesman of ex-President Rodrigo Duterte dared Senator Imee Marcos to speak about the alleged drug use of her brother, Pres. Bongbong Marcos.
Countless Filipinos were quite surprised when presidential sister and Sen. Imee Marcos took the side of the Duterte family on the controversial arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. After it, she even left the senatorial slate of her brother, Pres. Bongbong Marcos.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also endorsed Sen. Imee Marcos in the 2025 Senatorial Race where she finished 12th. After the elections, together with the Vice President, Sen. Imee Marcos flew to The Hague and met with former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s lawyer, Nicholas Kaufman. According to her, together, they will bring the former President home.
Sen. Imee Marcos also claimed that she wants to join the “Duterte bloc” in the Senate when the 20th Congress opens. However, amid the ties of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and the Vice President, there are a lot of supporters of Duterte family who doubt the loyalty of the presidential sister.
Recently, Duterte’s former spokesman Harry Roque dared Sen. Imee Marcos to prove to the DDS that she is a genuine ally of the Duterte family. The former Spokesman is also currently in The Hague, Netherlands where he is an asylum seeker.
Based on a post of Bombo Radyo Dagupan shared by the former presidential spokesman on his social media account, Harry Roque dared Sen. Imee Marcos to speak about the alleged drug use of her brother, Pres. Bongbong Marcos. He believes that she knows the history of her brother when it comes to it.
“Manang Imee, pagkakataon mo na itong patunayan sa mga DDS na talagang ikaw ay kakampi ng mga Duterte. Hindi ako naniniwala na hindi mo alam kung gumagamit ng ipinagbabawal na droga ang iyong kapatid… Alam na alam mo bilang nakakatandang kapatid kung ano ang kasaysayan ng iyong kapatid pagdating sa ipinagbabawal na droga,” Roque said.
According to Harry Roque, it is now time for Sen. Imee Marcos to be true to the Filipino people. He believes that the people will her even more if she will be the one who will ask her brother to get medical help and pass on the leadership to someone like Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.
“Panahon na para ika’y maging tapat sa taong bayan. Mas lalo kang mamahalin ng taong bayan hindi lang dahil sa imbestigasyon na ginawa mo kung sasabihin mo ang katotohanan at ikaw na ang humingi sa iyong kapatid na magpagamot at ibigay na muna ang liderato ng bayan natin sa tao na walang karamdaman gaya ni VP Sara,” Duterte’s former Spox said.
Harry Roque also told Sen. Imee Marcos that if she will do it, the Filipino people will allegedly accept her as a hero of the country. Based on the post, he stressed that she really needs to speak.
“Pag ginawa mo ‘yan, burado lahat ng alinlangan ng DDS sa’yo, Manang Imee, at tatanggapin ka bilang isang sa ating mga bayani ng bayan. Pero kinakailang na siguro na ika’y magsalita dahil nakakabingi ang katahimikan ng iyong kapatid,” Roque said.
Previously, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte spoke on the meeting of Sen. Imee Marcos and her father’s ICC lawyer, Nicholas Kaufman.
