Awra Briguela Has No Comment After Janus del Prado Calls Her Out

Awra Briguela Gets Called Out by Janus del Prado

JANUS DEL PRADO – The actor called out Awra Briguela in a Facebook post on July 18, 2025, expressing concern over what he described as harmful behavior affecting the LGBTQIA+ community.

According to Janus, Awra’s actions—what he labeled as “entitlement”—are creating a negative image of the gay community and pushing away its allies. He believes this behavior is contributing to what he calls “trans fatigue,” where people feel overwhelmed and frustrated by increasingly complex gender discussions.

Janus argued that conversations about new gender identities and pronouns are overshadowing the voices and struggles of lesbians, gays, and even biological women. He told Awra directly to stop acting like a victim, insisting that she is not oppressed. He also warned that forcing personal identities and pronouns onto others can do more harm than good, as people have the right to follow their own beliefs and values.

In his post, Janus criticized the trend of copying gender concepts from Western countries like the US, blaming these for problems in Hollywood, sports, and education. He pointed out that many Western communities are now returning to the traditional “two-gender” system after experiencing negative outcomes. He encouraged the LGBTQIA+ community, especially the younger generation, to listen to older voices like Ricky Reyes and refocus on real issues affecting gays and lesbians.

Janus also urged the community to hold its members accountable when they go too far, instead of offering blind support just because they belong to the same group. He emphasized the importance of respecting differences without forcing others to accept or follow certain identities or pronouns.

As of now, Awra has not responded publicly to Janus’s statements. While some netizens praised Janus for speaking out, others criticized him for being out of touch and disrespectful toward modern gender discussions.

Meanwhile, Awra chose to ignore the backlash and focus on her recent senior high school graduation. With encouragement from her mentor Vice Ganda, Awra said she plans to focus on love and positivity, calling the criticism just “background noise.”
