Working Student Expresses Frustration After Falling Victim to Fake Booking Scam
A working student trying to earn extra income through a delivery job was left heartbroken after falling victim to a fake booking scam.
Recently, ArticulateStarfruit97, a Facebook user, shared his experience on his third day of working with a delivery service app. The post immediately spread like wildfire online and garnered various reactions from the netizens.
The rider explained that he took the job to help pay for school expenses, including tuition and training fees. As a working student, every peso counted, which is why he grabbed the opportunity despite hearing warnings about possible scams.

The working student received a booking and spoke with the customer, who reassured him that everything was legitimate. The scammer even sent an ID, which he later realized might have been edited.
Trusting the conversation, he pushed through with the task only to lose P2,000 in the end.
Earlier that night, he had already been mistakenly caught in a personal issue involving another customer who thought he was a third party in a relationship dispute.

The student admitted he made a mistake in trusting too easily but hoped his story would serve as a warning to others. He pleaded for people to show compassion, especially to students working hard to reach their dreams.

Now left with less money and a painful lesson, he still hopes for fairness and wishes that the stolen money would at least be used for something good. placed his trust in karma to handle the rest.
