Re-elected Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto Claims He’s Free To Do What He Thinks is Right
VICO SOTTO – The re-elected Pasig Mayor announced to the public as early as now that he will not run in the 2028 Elections.

Many people even want to move to Pasig city because of the performance of Mayor Vico Sotto. In 2021, the son of Eat Bulaga host Vic Sotto and veteran actress Coney Reyes was recognized as one of the 12 global anti-corruption champions by the U.S. Department of State.

According to Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto, he previously stayed mum amid the calls to run for a higher office in the 2028 Elections as he avoids his remarks to be linked to simply politicking. The Pasig Mayor is serving his final term of office as the local chief executive.
“May mga bagay po na hindi ko puwede sabihin noong panahon ng pangangampanya kasi baka sabihin political motive… Siyempre ‘pag political season, mahirap magsalita, sabihin pulitika lang yan,” he said.
Based on the report, Pasig Mayor Vic Sotto stressed that as early as now, he is confirming that he will not run in the 2028 Elections. With it, he added that he is free to do what he thinks is right.
“Ngayon wala nang pulitika; 2028 hindi ako tatakbo. Ngayon pa lang sinasabi ko na sa inyo. Kaya malaya ako gawin kung anong tingin ko ang tama,” the Pasig Mayor said.
In his speech at the turnover ceremony of incoming local officials, Sotto also called out the people who are allegedly engaging in illegal activities and told them to pay their taxes. Prior to his oath-taking, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto was linked to Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.
Aside from the Pasig Mayor, another politician who is urged by many people to run for president in the future election is Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. Amid the feud between her and Pres, Bongbong Marcos, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte even recently claimed that she is the “frontrunner” of the 2028 presidential polls, thus, the Marcos administration allegedly wants her removed from office.
