Triplets Make History in Zamboanga Sibugay
Eva May, Lorie May, and Xennia May Dangaton—identical triplets from Mabini, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay—made history by graduating magna cum laude together from Jose Rizal Memorial State University in Tampilisan. All three completed the same course, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Financial Management, and earned the same academic distinction.
At 22 years old, the triplets have been together in every stage of life, studying side by side from preschool to college. Their bond grew stronger as they tackled academics as a team, helping one another through shared study sessions, exchanging notes and materials, and supporting each other emotionally, especially during stressful periods.
Each sister had her own learning method—Eva preferred waking up early to review, Lorie retained information better by writing everything down, and Xennia found solo study and self-quizzing most effective. Their teamwork helped them balance their strengths and weaknesses throughout their academic journey.

Growing up as triplets came with its challenges. They had to share everything, including limited financial resources. Maintaining privacy was also difficult, as they were deeply familiar with each other’s thoughts and behaviors. While they never saw each other as direct competitors, there was often pressure to keep up with one another’s achievements.
Their journey through college became even more challenging during the pandemic. With parents who had not finished college and financial uncertainty looming, continuing their studies seemed uncertain. Despite these hurdles, the sisters chose to stay committed to their education. In the end, their hard work paid off—they not only completed college but did so with honors, surpassing their own expectations.

Now that they’ve graduated, the Dangaton triplets are focused on their next goals. They plan to take the Civil Service Exam and begin applying for jobs.
