Fyang and Chloe’s Singing Sparks Reactions; Ogie Diaz Responds
OGIE DIAZ – The well-known showbiz insider shared his thoughts on the singing careers of Fyang Smith and Chloe San Jose, two young celebrities who have both released albums and stepped into the music scene. As their popularity continues to rise, some fans are already hoping for a collaboration between them.
However, not all feedback has been positive. Fyang received criticism after clips from her album launch performance went viral, especially those where she sang and danced to songs popularized by Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo. Many netizens quickly reacted on social media, with some poking fun at her performance.
Still, Ogie chose to respond with understanding. In the June 26 episode of his show Showbiz Updates, he said he prefers not to let their performances trouble him, adding that he has enough problems of his own.

Instead of judging them, Ogie encouraged the public to understand why Fyang and Chloe are pursuing music. He believes it’s because performing brings them happiness—and their fans enjoy it too. As a talent manager himself, Ogie said that if an artist makes people happy by singing, there’s no reason to stop them.

However, he also stressed the importance of preparation. He said that anyone who wants to sing seriously should invest time in proper voice lessons and training.

Meanwhile, Fyang Smith is a Filipino-American content creator, actress, and model who gained fame after winning Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11 in 2024. She has over 13 million TikTok followers. On the other hand, Chloe San Jose, or Chloe SJ, is a Filipino-Australian influencer, model, and singer who rose to fame in 2021 with her viral song “Aking Pagmamahal.” She is also known as the girlfriend of Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo.
