Sen. Imee Marcos Claims Billions of Gov’t Funds Allegedly Spent in Ayuda To Buy Votes
IMEE MARCOS – The Presidential Sister seemingly took shade at House Speaker Martin Romualdez and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos anew.
During the recent Philippine Independence Day celebration, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte attended a celebration of the Filipino community in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She was with presidential sister and Sen. Marcos and actor-turned-senator Robin Padilla.

At the said PH Independence Day celebration, each of the three (3) government officials spoke in front of the Filipino community. Sen. Robin Padilla even called Vice Pres. Sara Duterte as the “next president of the Philippines” when he greeted as he started his speech.
According to the actor-turned-senator, he will be the campaign manager of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and Sen. Imee Marcos in the 2028 Elections. He campaigned to the Filipinos present at the event and asked them to endorse the tandem to their families in the Philippines.

In her speech, Sen. Imee Marcos explained why she and Sen. Robin Padilla did not wear their impeachment robes during the oath-taking of the senators as judges of the impeachment court in the trial against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.
Based on a post of a certain Jocelyn Macalisang on Facebook, at the event, Sen. Imee Marcos also seemingly threw shades anew against House Speaker Martin Romualdez and First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos. She also claimed that the government wasted a lot of money and she feels bad even if it is her brother who is the president of the country.
“Maraming salamat po pero tamang-tama ‘yung sinasabi. Ako na ang magsasabi masama man ang loob ko, masama man ang loob ninyo, kahit kapatid ko ang nakalukluk sa poder, ang totoo sayang ang pinagastusan ng ating bansa,” she said.

Sen. Imee Marcos claimed that the government allegedly spent billions to buy votes in the form of cash assistance to the Filipinos. She also tagged Romualdez and Araneta as the “Lulong and Lalay”, the names of crocodiles.
“Inubos bilyon-bilyon sa ayuda at pamimili ng boto. Sabihin na nating ang totoo… Inaaway na naman ako ni VP, parating sinasabi, ‘Palitan mo na kasi ‘yung apelyido mo’. Eh sabi ko, ‘ang problema ‘yung nakaupo walang apelyido kasi tambaloslos. Romualdez po ‘yun at Araneta, sila ‘yung lulong at lalay. Masakit man aminin, ‘yan ang katotohanan,” she said based on the post.

At the PH Independence Day event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Sen. Imee Marcos also joked about Sen. Robin Padilla almost hitting Sen. Joel Villanueva and also mentioned she shouted at Sen. Risa Hontiveros. She stressed that they are really brave.
