CLAUDINE BARRETTO – Veteran actress Claudine Barretto admitted feeling deeply hurt after not being invited to the wedding of her favorite niece, Claudia.
Claudine Barretto opened up emotionally in a recent interview, revealing the pain she felt after being left out of the wedding of her favorite niece, Claudia Barretto.
In a heartfelt conversation on Morly Alinio’s YouTube show “MORLY ALINIO (ITO ANG TONDO),” Claudine shared her sadness and disappointment over not receiving an invitation to the special occasion. “I wanted to be there. Masakit. Favorite ko eh,” she said, visibly emotional.
Claudine expressed that among the children of her sister Marjorie Barretto, Claudia has always been closest to her heart. She recalled the thoughtful gifts she had given Claudia in the past, including her first Rolex and Cartier watches. Claudine also mentioned that she has long made it a tradition to give her nieces and nephews meaningful presents during major life events such as weddings and childbirth.
“‘Yun lang ‘yung gusto kong ibigay sana but you know it was a happy event daw. Ang pinaka-importante lang sa akin ‘yung masaya ‘yung pamangkin ko,” Claudine stated, emphasizing that her niece’s happiness matters more than her own feelings of exclusion.
Claudine also touched on her relationship with her siblings, saying that only her sister Gretchen Barretto remains close to her. She admitted believing in the idea of “generational curses” within their family, which she feels has affected their unity through the years.
Despite the pain, Claudine showed grace and maturity by expressing no ill will towards her family. She said she continues to pray for the happiness and well-being of her siblings and emphasized, “Hindi siya kaaway kundi kakampi.”
