Boss Toyo Reveals Why He Bought the Imburnal Girl’s Cutter

Why Boss Toyo Helped the “Imburnal Girl”

BOSS TOYO – The popular content creator explained during the World Gin Day 2025 event hosted by Ginebra San Miguel why he decided to buy the blade used by Rosemarie Peligrino—more commonly known online as the viral “Imburnal Girl.”

Boss Toyo paid ₱5,000 for the cutter and gave another ₱5,000 directly to Peligrino. While some people questioned his actions, he clarified that his intention was not to reward bad behavior but to show kindness in a way that might inspire change. “Minsan kasi, the more na pinapagalitan mo ‘yung mga ganun, the more na nagiging harsh sa kanila… Kapag hindi sila nagbago, sila naman ang mawawalan, hindi tayo,” he said.

What made this gesture even more meaningful was Boss Toyo’s personal story. He revealed that he was once a drug addict for ten years and admitted that his life had no real direction during that time. But everything started to improve when he finally chose to leave that lifestyle and start over. “So, noong tinigil ko ‘yun at naghanap ako ng bagong buhay, naging maayos ang buhay ko,” he said. Now, he hopes to inspire others to make the same kind of change.

His decision to help Peligrino comes from his belief that some young people don’t need punishment—they need guidance. He knows there’s no guarantee that she will change, but he hopes his gesture might open a new door for her.

Meanwhile, the World Gin Day 2025 event was held at the Manila Diamond Hotel, which was transformed into a travel-themed venue for the occasion. With the theme “Your World of Gin Experience,” the event brought together gin lovers, influencers, celebrities, and industry leaders. It also highlighted Ginebra San Miguel’s dedication to celebrating Filipino culture and the growing global appreciation of gin.
