Anjo Yllana Reveals His Past with Kris Aquino
ANJO YLLANA – The actor revealed in an interview with Snooky Serna that he once had a brief romantic relationship with television host and actress Kris Aquino. The relationship lasted only three weeks and ended abruptly after Anjo discovered that Kris was also seeing other men at the same time, including fellow celebrities Robin Padilla and Aga Muhlach.
According to Anjo, he and Kris grew close while working on two projects together. It was during this time that they officially became a couple. However, the relationship quickly came to an end after a surprising incident. One day, Anjo visited Kris at her home, bringing with him Hybrid Tea Roses all the way from Baguio. To his surprise, he saw other bouquets of roses already there.
When he asked Kris who had sent them, she casually responded that they were from Robin Padilla, whom she referred to as her boyfriend. When Anjo asked if Robin was courting her, she replied, Oh, he’s my boyfriend, and then added, Including Aga.
Feeling confused and embarrassed, Anjo decided to end the relationship immediately and accepted that they would be better off as friends. Despite the awkward ending, the two managed to maintain a close friendship. In fact, when Kris became pregnant with actor Phillip Salvador’s child, Anjo was almost chosen to be the godfather of her son.
However, their friendship eventually fell apart due to the controversy involving Kris and actor-politician Joey Marquez. During the height of the issue between Kris and Joey, Anjo sided with Joey, which caused a rift between him and Kris. Anjo recalled, We went separate ways when she had a fight with Joey Marquez. It was a huge issue back then.
Fortunately, over the years, Anjo shared that they’ve been on speaking terms again. Whenever they cross paths, they now greet each other warmly, showing that they’ve moved past the misunderstanding.
