Zaijian Jaranilla Says Sorry for Dustin Joke
ZAIJIAN JARANILLA – The actor faced criticism online after being heard making a remark during a livestream, where he jokingly said, “’Wag niyo nang iboto si Dustin,” referring to Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate Dustin Uy.
The incident occurred during a live video hosted by Ralph de Leon, a former PBB Celebrity Collab housemate, which also featured other High Street cast members, including Gela Atayde and Tommy Alejandrino.
Zaijian’s comment quickly caught the attention of viewers, especially supporters of Dustin, who has already been involved in some tension inside the PBB house—particularly after a challenge that caused a disagreement with Klarisse de Guzman.

In response to the backlash, Zaijian took to Instagram on May 15 to issue a public apology via his Story. He wrote: “Huy, easy lang! Sorry na, huwag na kayong magalit. At huwag niyo idamay yung mga kaibigan ko sa opinyon ko. Di ba puwedeng biruin idol niyo? Sorry na.” He also included a hashtag that read, “#KungSiLordNagpapatawadKayoPa?”
To help clear things up, Gela Atayde released her own statement. She explained that Ralph had told them off-camera that he and Dustin were actually good friends, and that he never intended to spread hate. She emphasized that Ralph had always supported Dustin and was never part of any hate campaign against him.

Gela further clarified that Zaijian’s comment was simply his reaction to what he had seen on TV—not a serious attack. While she acknowledged that the joke may have been in poor taste, she confirmed that Zaijian had already apologized and admitted his mistake.

She also pointed out that another joke made by Zaijian was not directed at Vince but was simply an inside joke among friends, not meant to hurt or insult anyone. To conclude, Gela apologized on behalf of everyone involved and asked the public not to drag others into the issue. She urged everyone to continue supporting Ralph, whom she described as a genuine and kind person.
