Facebook Page of Xian Gaza Suddenly Disappears After Benitez Controversy
XIAN GAZA – The well-known internet personality suddenly disappeared from Facebook just hours after sharing photos and documents related to Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez.
In his posts, Gaza shared pictures of Mayor Benitez with different women and claimed that the mayor and his wife, Nikki Benitez, had been separated for years. These posts followed rumors about the mayor’s alleged affairs, including one with actress Ivana Alawi.
Shortly after these posts went viral, Gaza’s Facebook page was no longer visible. Victorias City Mayor Javi Benitez, the son of Albee and Nikki Benitez, later confirmed that Gaza’s Facebook account had indeed disappeared after he checked it himself.
While no official reason was given for the sudden disappearance, many people online believe Gaza may have been warned or pressured by individuals close to the Benitez family. Since the Benitez family is highly influential both in the Philippines and abroad, some speculate that they might have played a role in having Gaza’s posts taken down.
Meanwhile, Xian Gaza rose to fame in 2017 when he rented a billboard to publicly ask actress Erich Gonzales out for coffee. The bold gesture attracted public attention, but soon after, he became involved in various scandals. He was accused of scamming people through failed business ventures, including a supposed coffee shop investment and a charity project. In 2018, he was convicted of issuing bad checks and sentenced to over five years in prison. Instead of serving his sentence, he fled the country and moved to Hong Kong.
Since then, Gaza has continued to make headlines, often for controversial reasons. In 2021, he launched a cryptocurrency called Xian Coin, which the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) later flagged as a potential scam. He is also known for his extravagant ways of asking celebrities on dates—such as giving luxury gifts or placing billboards in different countries.
