Ser Geybin Admits Mistake, Deletes Viral Post
SER GEYBIN – The content creator and social media personality, whose real name is Gavin Capinpin, faced public criticism after posting a now-deleted video titled “Slide,” which sparked outrage among netizens.
In the video, a young child was seen sitting and sliding on a chair designed to resemble a s*xual prop. Many viewers found the content highly inappropriate and offensive, with some accusing the vlogger of promoting behavior that borders on child exploitation.
Following the backlash, Ser Geybin issued a public apology through a Facebook post. He admitted that the video was uploaded impulsively, without carefully considering its possible consequences. “Gusto ko lang po mag-sorry sa video reels na pinost ko po nung mga nakakaaraang araw na ang title po ay “Slide”. Aminado po akong biglaan ko po yun inupload sa mga oras na iyon at hindi ko po agad naisip ang kamalian ko.,” he wrote.
The controversy reached a broader audience when popular YouTuber Makagago WM also criticized the video in one of his vlogs. Some concerned netizens even suggested that the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) could file a child abuse case against Ser Geybin due to the involvement of a minor in such sensitive content.
Despite the backlash, some social media users acknowledged Ser Geybin’s willingness to take full responsibility for his actions. He expressed regret and assured the public that he had learned a valuable lesson from the experience. “Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng pagtatama at pangaral n’yo po sa akin, lahat po ito ay magiging isang malaking aral po sa akin na babaunin ko po sa tinatahak po naming landas. Muli po, patawad po at hindi na po mauulit,” he added.
