Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Scheduled To Fly in Qatar, Netherlands
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President is scheduled to visit the Filipinos in Qatar and her dad, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, in The Hague, Netherlands afterwards.
Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte is detained in The Hague, Netherlands for more than two (2) months now since his arrest in March 11. He is under the custody of the International Criminal Court (ICC) where he is faced with an accusation of crimes against humanity due to his administration’s war on drugs.

Amid the criticisms against the President and the Philippine government over the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos should be held accountable over her father’s arrest. According to the Vice President, the Chief Executive committed an “impeachable offense” over the transfer of the custody of her father to the ICC.

Amid former Pres. Duterte’s detention in The Hague, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is faced with an incoming impeachment trial in the Senate. She was impeached by the House of Representative last February 5 amid questions on the spending of the Confidential Funds of the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and the Department of Education when she was the education secretary.

Vice Pres. Duterte immediately flew to The Hague following the arrest of former Pres. Duterte. She returned to the country in the first week of April but claimed that she will be back in the Netherlands on her birthday. The Vice President is turning 47 years old this coming May 31.
Based on a report on GMA News, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is set to visit the Filipinos in Qatar on May 27. Afterwards, she will fly to The Hague, Netherlands wherein she has scheduled visits to former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte on May 30, June 2, and June 3.
With regards to her incoming impeachment trial, the articles of impeachment against the Vice President are set to be read in the Senate on June 2. Based on the report, on the following day, on June 3, the impeachment court will convene.
Vice Pres. Duterte “will participate in a peaceful gathering organized by various Filipino community groups” in front of the ICC on May 31. She is set to return to the Philippines on June 4. Previously, Vice Pres. Duterte claimed that she has already accepted whatever is the outcome of her impeachment trial.
