Russian Vlogger Vitaly Appeals to Remulla to Drop Charges

Russian Vlogger Vitaly Pleads for Forgiveness in Letter to Secretary Remulla

VITALY ZDOROVETSKIY – The Russian content creator and prankster has reached out to Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla, asking for forgiveness and requesting that the charges filed against him be dropped.

In a letter sent to the DILG, Vitaly admitted that he is struggling with mental health issues and apologized for his actions during a livestream in Taguig. He expressed hope that by taking responsibility for his mistakes, he might avoid further legal consequences.

Despite the apology, Secretary Remulla remained firm. He stated that the case would still proceed and that Vitaly must be held accountable. Remulla emphasized that no one is above the law, adding that even internet personalities must respect the rights of others. He also reminded content creators not to harm or humiliate people just to gain views or go viral.

His arrest stemmed from a controversial livestream on March 31 at Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig. In the video, he was seen mocking a woman for wearing a face mask, pretending to steal from her, grabbing a security guard’s hat, and making fun of people around him. He was also accused of taking an electric fan from a restaurant without permission. These actions quickly drew public criticism online.

Following the backlash, authorities arrested Vitaly and placed him in detention. He now faces several charges, including unjust vexation, cybercrime, and public disturbance. While some have called for his deportation, the DILG clarified that the legal process must be completed before the Bureau of Immigration can take any action.

Vitaly Zdorovetskiy rose to fame through viral prank videos but has frequently faced criticism and legal trouble for pushing boundaries. Though he has apologized, he remains in custody at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig as the case continues in court.
